Affordable Housing in Torbay

In August 2026, our proposals for the redevelopment of the vacant Walmer House on Ash Hill Road will go before the Torbay Council Planning Committee.

We are proposing to sensitively convert the vacant Walmer House into high-quality accommodation for local people.

This proposed redevelopment will bring a site which has stood vacant for some time back into use, restoring and preserving the prominent Victorian villa and saving it from gradual deterioration.

Following the public consultation event held on Thursday 6th August 2026, 2pm – 7pm, at Walmer House, Ash Hill Road, Torquay, TQ1 3HZ, proposals will go to the planning department in August 2026.

We are currently gathering feedback from the local community on our proposals for Walmer House.
